Unable to open eM Client

I have been using eM Client free license for a number of years. I recently got a new computer and the eM has been working as it always did. I shut down yesterday and today, I’m not able to open the application at all. There are no error messages. Task manager says the application is in the background but will not open.

Try restarting your computer and see if that helps

Apart from rebooting your computer as @John_A advised to try above, if same problem and you have Windows, see if the eM Client icon is open on the taskbar. If it is, try @Gary suggestion below from his post in the following thread.

“It may be open off screen”.

“Try again and see if there is a taskbar icon for this. If there is, right-click in the taskbar icon thumbnail, and choose MOVE. Use your keyboard arrow keys to bring it back into view”.

I am having the same issue which started last night. When I hover over the taskbar eM Client icon, only the preview shows, but “Move” is greyed out. I have tried “Restore” and “Maximize”, however, neither of these open the window. I have also tried restarting my computer.

You can then try the following from if you have eM Client for Windows.

Close eM Client “in the task manager”, and then uninstall eM Client, and “dont delete the database” when asked on the uninstall wizard.

Then If exists, delete the C:\Program Files (x86)\eM Client folder".

Then reinstall your same or later version of eM Client via the release history page.

Apart from that, suggest to try changing your screen resolution if you can “larger temporarily” just incase the eM Client GUI is off the screen.
