Unable to Delete Contact in Other Contact List - Desktop

Running emClient 10.1.4417 on Windows 11, no other devices. Came to emClient from Thunderbird.

Have several contacts I need to delete in the Other Contacts list. They keep popping up on two accounts as the name on the email even though I have Settings > Mail > Read > Show Names from Contact UNchecked. Account name is correct and will show up when I send the email as the one I want.

I have tried Gary’s suggestion to go into Google contacts and delete them there, which I did, but there is no effect. After deleting the name in Google, I closed everything and restarted the computer. I didn’t think that Google contacts would interface when I am on a desktop system.

Thoughts?

Many thanx,

Paul

Maybe the folder didn’t sync. Right-click on it and choose Properties > Repair > Repair.

Otherwise, the Other Contacts folder is read-only in eM Client, so you can’t delete its contents there. You can delete them and disable Google placing contacts in that folder again, in the Google Contacts web page.

Gary,

Many thanx. That did the trick.

Gary,

Follow on to the problem. Have several contacts in my other contacts list that I still can’t delete or edit. The are not in my google contacts nor are in use in any other program. It would be great if there was a way to easily delete them.

Hi
I just migrated over from Postbox. I want to clean up my contacts but they all imported under the other contacts folder even though they are not in Google. How can I delete them as needed?
thanks
