Unable to connect to Office 365 via Pop3 after issue with Microsoft Team

Experienced unable to connect to Office 365 via Pop3 after issue with Microsoft Team last week. Anybody have the same issue and how to resolve this?

I suspect this has to do with the basic auth deprecation coming in October 2022. The service has been temporarily disabling basic auth so that users become aware they are using it. If you log into the M365 portal with your admin account you will probably find messages in the message center about this here:

Outlook Desktop does not support POP or IMAP in the service with modern auth so those won’t work after October 2022. The best thing to do is to switch your account to an Exchange connection.

Does this means there is “No way” for eM Client desktop app to connect with Microsoft 365 via POP, have to switch to use Outlook desktop?

New O365 deprecate basic authentication, my em client unable to connect pass the authentication and receive email via pop3.Anybody have a solution for this?

You need to add the account again using the automatic setup (Menu > Accounts > Add Account). That will setup the account using Modern Authentication.

Once it is setup, move the messages from the POP3 folders to the new Exchange folders, then remove the POP3 account from eM Client.
