Trying to retrieve local folders from the HD of my last PC

I have the HD from my previous PC attached to my new laptop as an external drive. I want to figure out a way to retrieve saved email from my local folders.  I pointed eM client to the correct folder on the external drive to try to pull up the old database. The program crashed.  When I tried a 2nd time I got this message:

System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteException: disk I/O error   at System.Data.SQLite.SQLite3.Open(String strFilename, SQLiteConnectionFlags connectionFlags, SQLiteOpenFlagsEnum openFlags, Int32 maxPoolSize, Boolean usePool)

   at DbRepair.DbTools.OpenConnection(String fileName)
   at DbRepair.Form1.CheckCorruption()
   at DbRepair.Form1.Check(Object state)

Anybody? … Beuller? … Olivia?

Hi Pat,
have you tried copying the old database into your new computer instead? Does the same error appear?
Otherwise, I’m afraid the data might be corrupted.
