Is there an option for a tray checker or do I have to manually add the desktop icon in my startup folder??..thanks

when you check the appropriate option in settings (Tools - Settings - General) you can minimize or close eM Client to tray.
If you want to have eM Client icon in Tray right after Windows startup, add eM Client to your Startup folder and enable the option “Start minimized” in its properties.
