Tons of calendar notifications on initial setup

Just installed eMclient for the first time. I seem to be getting a lot of calendar notifications popping up, not all of which are current / relevant – I suspect this may be recurring items but, still, I have deleted quite a few and they are still going.
I am quite sure this is a one-time setup thing but is there a quick and easy way to kind-of “reset” the status of which notifications I want so that, e.g. I only start getting notifications which Google would push to me from now, rather than a bunch of retrospective stuff?

This has been a bug in emclient for a long time. It also will send out notifications to invitees if you copy from one calendar to another. If you update an event and select don’t send an invitation it won’t … for about 5 minutes then it sends one.
