This computer cannot be activated due to violation of our licensing policy

today my mail dont work ( free ) i get this this computer cannot be activated due to this computer cannot be activated due to violation of our licensing policyof our licensing policy
i really dont know what i did wrong

Free licenses are for personal home use only, so can’t be used for business.

As the license has been banned, if you want to continue using eM Client, you will need to purchase a Pro license.

i use it a few years

It doesn’t matter how long you have been violating the license agreement. You CAN’T use a Free license for business.

The possibility could be that as you have a FREE version that you have not adhered to the cFREE conditions of use - you should check with [email protected]

i have a little company and use it private also
if i buy a pro it work fast ?

When you purchase the license, the key will be sent to you immediately with instructions on how to activate it. You will need to get it in webmail for the email address you use.

ok thank you Gary
i buy the license already

it already works

Just reading this thread… what if I have never used EM Client for business, dont own or operate a business, and receive a license violation alert?

This happened to me this morning, so how do I know what I’ve alleged to have done to violate my license?

Thanks, Mark

Thanks. Sent an email to sales earlier today… so will wait to hear.

Apparently, if you have registered a private domain for your emails, then you are considered ‘a business’ and are violating the free license.

No, that is not always true, but if you are banned in error, please follow the instructions in the message that says you have violated the license policy.

Received an email from the sales team and they have reinstated my license. Really appreciate the fast turn around it was awesome.

Do you made that deactivations manually? My friend lost his free license few days ago (I wrote email) because of some “violation of policy”. He is for sure not using eM Client for business.
I had this problem with my parents some time ago.
Why custom domains are so suspicious? Not everyone must use gmail or other free services. Some people just want to be not dependent of 3rd party email providers and with own domain you can do that.

And btw. - since you recommend contact by email when it happens, made it possible - if you really believe that people will use your software for emails, you should expect that sometimes it will be the only method of contacting you (like for people who are totally unexperienced in computers, when some guy like me configure everything for them and then, when your program stops responding, they can’t even use it to contact you).

Many companies have an online mail form for problems like this (just saying).
