Is there a manual/instructions/reference for the Theme Editor? I thought I had seen a PDF somewhere.
I’d like to know exactly what each element is called and where it’s located in the Theme Editor tree.
For example:
Using the “Pick Element” click on the Message List
What is the SELECTED item in the list called?
What is the SELECTED items highlight color and inactive highlight color called?
None of the items listed have “Selected” in their name nor is the color used shown.

This is the eM Client blog on creating a custom theme in the Theme editor.
There is also custom themes made by eM Client users.

I do not know your computer file editing capability, however, if you want to know what each element
is called and the color/effect it has you can edit the XML file for the particular Theme.
Once learned you will then be able to fall back to use the Theme Editor.
Editing the XML file you are also able, if you know what you are doing, to cut the size of the file
by approximately 50%
I do agree that the Editor is not particularly intuitive to use.
