tasks

Hi,

I currently have the EM client version 6.0.2.  Is there a way to have tasks/reminders scheduled thru my Apple IOS devices, “pop up” in EM Client, like calandar notifications?  With Outlook 2007, a window would pop up with my reminders that I scheduled.  Right now, my reminders are only showing under the “Tasks” tab in EM Client, with no notifications that pop up for the reminders.

Hi Rachel, not completely sure what you’re referring to. What version of eM client are you currently using on your computer, can you please check the exact version number in Help > About? What mail (tasks) service are you using with eM Client to synchronize your devices?

eM Client by default should display calendar, tasks and mail notifications, you can check your notification preferences in Tools > Settings > General > Reminders. For tasks and calendar events when eM Client is opened and notifications haven’t been dismissed yet a reminders window should display allowing you to manage your notifications.

Hi Paul,

The version is 6.0.21372.0.  Regarding the task service, I am referring to reminders thru Siri, as well as reminders I schedule on my iPhone 5s, as well as iPad.  I do not get a reminders window in EM client.  However, I still have Outlook 2007 on my computer and I have noticed that when I run Outlook and EM client at the same time, the reminders window pops up both in Outlook–which it always has-- AND also in EM client–this is the only time that I ever receive reminder windows in EM client.  I am considering purchasing the full licenses for EM client for my company users.

Hi Rachel, not completely sure what Siri reminders you’re referring to, as far as I know, Siri doesn’t have any special set of reminders and standard task reminders that you can set in the tasks details should be shown in the notification area on all synchronized devices.

Note reminders are based around the start time of the reminder, so you will only be prompted in eM Client when the task start is due.

That is not correct, you can schedule reminders thru Siri.  In Outlook, whatever was scheduled through Siri or even manually in my IOS device, would pop up  in my calendar in Outlook.  So are you stating that only reminders can be scheduled in EM Client, in order for these reminders to “pop up” in a separate window in Calendar?

Yes you can schedule reminders through Siri but not really sure how is that related to eM Client.
Even reminders scheduled through Siri or displayed in Outlook are the same reminders you can set in eM Client. They will be synchronized to your server with the Task.

Open the tasks details to setup a reminder.
