System tray icon always visible

If eM Client is minimized to the system tray, you see its icon there. That’s great, but when you click that icon to open the eM Client application again, the system tray icon disappears. That means that if you have a lot of windows open, you need to locate the eM Client icon on the task bar and click it there to open the eM Client window. It would be way easier if you could simply click that same icon on the system tray.
That’s how, for example, Microsoft Outlook works now. There’s always the icon in the system tray that you can click, regardless of whether the main application windows active or not.
It would be great if eM Client could do that, too.

Thanks!

I dont understand why this feature is still not there after years of people asking for it. Im just testing several mail clients now and this is the only one that removes the tray icon when its opened. Its annoying. Im used to see the email icon in one place all the time and this one just moves between task bar and tray.

I searched this forum and saw developers disregard these requests for years.

i was really happy about eM, it won a 1st place in my tests and i wanted to swtich to it. But this missing feature and the approach from developers just conviced me to look somewhere else.

There is a Sleekplan suggestion to have the tray icon allways visible “when the client is open” which you can vote for below.
