For the past few months, I’ve been experiencing the following issues on my Honor Magic6 Pro running MagicOS 10.
Syncing doesn’t work reliably in the background. Most of the time, it doesn’t work at all. I’ve temporarily disabled “Manage Automatically” in App Starts and set it to “Manage Manually” as a test, but that hasn’t helped either. Otherwise, all permissions are granted.
Another issue is that as soon as I’m outside of Wi-Fi range, I frequently get the message “Please check your internet connection.” I have full signal strength.
IMAP, etc., is all enabled. The sync interval is set to 1 minute.
If “clearing the eM Client App Cache and Data” or “uninstalling and reinstalling the app” hasn’t made any difference, then could be possibly the Magic OS might be interferring in some way as using a eg: Samsung S22 Ultra & UI 8 with OS16 with eM Client Droid app “worked perfectly for me in the background” using Playstore V10.4.5360 on Wifi or Cell data.
Others on this forum who use Magic OS might respond to your post if they have similiar issues.
Im personally now changed back to iPhone & iPad where the mobile app doesn’t run in the background due to apparently the Apple mobile device OS limitations, but that doesn’t worry me personally as “i still get push mail notifications and calendar event notifications realtime” and it only takes less than a minute to sync mail and calendar changes even if i manually open the app.
