Sync of GMail IMAP account never finishes

I have two GMail addresses. The first (account A) has been working fine in eM Client, and I have rules that move emails to local folders.

I recently added the second GMail address (account B) as a second account in eM Client, and it is set for IMAP access without downloading message content to local folders. The messages are coming through, but the sync never finishes. There are about 15,000 messages in account B, and I’ve let the sync run for a full day. It never stops.

Claude was unable to help, and kept asking me to change settings on both the eM Client side and the GMail side.

Does this sound familiar?

TIA for insight and wisdom.

15,000 account messages could take alot longer than a day to fully sync depending on the size and content of the messages and speed of your connection.

Suggest to click on “All Mail” under that account B, and then click Refresh. Then click “Show Operations” via the dropdown on the right of Refresh to see where its up to synching.

You can adjust “the amount of messages it syncs” and also adjust if you want it to “only sync the Message list”, or “sync Messages without attachments”, or “sync Messages with Attachments” via going to “Menu / Accounts” and clicking on the IMAP tab and going down to “Sync Options” and adjust the Message Sync time period & Download Scope to how you want it as in the below Gmail IMAP account V10 example.
