My spam folder in Gmail contains legitimate emails that I would like to move to my Inbox. However on eM Client the Spam folder I created is always empty. It is a pain to go to the Gmail website to recover emails that are not Spam. Is there no sync between Gmail spam folder and a folder named Spam in eM Client. It would be a lot easier to do everything in eM Client.

When you add a Gmail IMAP account into eM Client, the “Junk Email” folder normally is automatically there “which then shows all the spam” from your Gmail online Spam folder. You don’t manually create a Spam folder.
So if you don’t see the Junk Email folder under your Gmail account, “right click on your Gmail account” and then click “Show/hide folders” as per the 1st example screenshot below.
Then make sure on the right of Junk Email, that its set to “Show” as in the 2nd Screenshot below. If its not on Show and on Hide or Show if Unread, then change it to Show and click Ok.
Also the Gmail Spam folder will also show under “Favourites” unified global folders “at the top left of eM Client”. You “right click on Favourites” and click “Display”, and make sure Junk Mail is checked. You should then see the Junk Mail folder as in the example screenshot below.
Lastly if the Junk Mail folder doesn’t appear, then i would look at removing and re-adding your Gmail account via “Menu / Accounts” using the “Add Account” wizard at the top.
Note:- If you do remove and re-add your Gmail account, make a backup first via “Menu / Backup” just incase you need to restore for any reason. You can see when the backup is complete in Show operations via clicking the dsropdown on the right of Refresh top left.
