@Gary
Is there some way I can SWAP licences on two of my Windows machines ? One has a Lifetime license, the other has a Pro v9 licence ? IF SO, HOW ?
I will next be at the fixed-location of one machine on August 08. The other machine is a laptop that is always with me. The fixed location machine has the Lifetime license, and my laptop currently has a v9 Pro licence. It would make more sense for the Lifetime licence to be assigned to my laptop.
Sure. If you activate the lifetime license on the notebook it gets deactivated on the desktop. But keep in mind that you need to downgrade the emClient to version 9 on the desktop, if you plan to activate the v9 Pro license there.
Both are currently on v9. Even Desktop’s licence is a Lifetime, it has not been upgraded to v10 yet as I am not currently in that location since before v10 was released.
Will doing as you wrote mean that the v9 Pro licence that is currently on the laptop can be activated on the Desktop. It may still assigned to the laptop, at that point in time, I don’t know ? Assuming the Licence will be available to use on the Desktop, please confirm that all the email addresses configured on the Desktop (there about 6) will not be lost or removed, when its Licence gets deactivated… I have a feeling that those email configs do stay there, but are just un-usable until a license is activated.
Thanks for your help - this sounds much easier than I thought it was going to be.
Correct - I have done that several times with my configured 4 accounts. As soon as the license is deactivated on the emClient the configuration stays in place, but you can’t use the emClient until you activate it with a valid license again.
