Stuttering Fade-In Effect on Received Emails

Issue Description

This is a persistent visual glitch I’ve been experiencing with emClient. As you know, when you click on an email, it opens up with a fade in effect, which is a nice touch. However, the fade animation of the background almost always stutters.

In the above video, if you focus on the background, you’ll notice the stuttering.

Expected Behavior

The ideal scenario would be for all visual transitions, including the fade-in effect when opening emails, to be smooth.

It is natural to think this might be an issue with my monitor or graphics drivers. However I don’t ever have this problem with other apps. I would be willing to disable the fade in effect to avoid this issue, however I don’t think there is an option in the settings for it.

Having the same issue and would like to deactivate the fading altogether because it’s extremely disrupting in my workflow, but haven’t found a way to do so. It’s sad that this post didn’t get any attention at all, let alone a fix in what is now almost a year.

Had mails that would take up to 10 seconds to fade in, fixed it by disabling conversations in the settings
