How can I ensure that when I reply to an email, my reply is stored in the same folder as the original email?

That’s unusual to do that where replied emails “are normally stored in the sent folder”, and then if you have conversation view enabled in eM Client, you will see the reply and original message together.
However if you want the sent email to also be in the same original folder, you would either have to currently create a rule to copy the sent email “after it appears in your sent folder” to your original folder, or manually move the sent message from the sent folder to your original folder after sending it, as there is no current option in eM Client at the moment to do that automatically.
Looking in eM Client Sleekplan share and vote for eM Client ideas page, there appears to be a suggestion to do that automatically where you can vote for that and put any comments in that idea.
