I’ve just download the free emclient to trial, but I get asked for a STARTUP PASSWWORD, well, as the download and installation never actually requested a password, where do I get ths from??
Hi Thomas, if you’re being prompt for a startup password this would mean there already has been eM Client installed on your computer and that an application database was setup, which may have been protected by a master password.
Unfortunately if you’re not familiar with the password, you’ll have to delete the current eM client database and re-setup your account for use with eM Client.
To delete the database navigate to Your local folder > App Data > Roaming, and delete or rename the eM client folder, when you re-open the application a new database should be automatically setup allowing you to setup your account using your email address and password.
