Some email messages from Apple users are blank until I reply and type the
first letter of my reply, then their text appears in the compose window below
my reply.

Hi John,
After I posted this question I decided to purchase eM Client and post a
trouble ticket. Juraj is helping me at present. He was unable to replicate the problem on his computer using one of my emails, so has proposed a Teamviewer session.
