I’ve just downloaded emClient and am having difficulty with SMTP. Specifically, I get a “server not responding” message. However, I have another client identically configured on another computer that works properly. I’d appreciate your thoughts. Thank you.

Can you please try turning off your antivirus software temporarily to see if it helps? If it does, please add an exception for eM Client in your AV software/firewall.
