smtp problem

error occurs when trying to send emails (Inbound works fine)
SMTP STARTTLS command fails

Hello,
apparently there are some problems when negotiating a secure connection with your SMTP server. The SMTP server you are using is a public one or a company one? This procedure shouldn’t fail.
However, you may work around this, by going to Tools->Account->select the problematic account -> click SMTP tab -> under Security Policy, select “Don’t use secure connection”.

Hope this helps.

Regards

I tried the settings you mention, however I still get the same error.

I have the same problem no matter what you try It does not work

The solution worked for me! (using Gmail)
Thanks Libor

The “Don’t use secure connection” did not work for me. Before my holiday, SMTP was working fine!!!

And I do not have the same problem with my other E-Mail clients …
