SMTP connection issue

I am attempting to set up eMClient for IMAP/SMTP. The IMAP settings work, but SMTP gives a connection error.

Diagnostic comes back “OK” but still getting a connection issue.

I am using the same settings that work with another email client, so not understanding why they don’t work here.

Here are settings I’ve set up in eM Client. I have also tried all of the other Security Policy options, but no change in result.

The security policy is incorrect for port 587. It should be Force usage of SSL/TLS.

Change that and click on Save & Close. If it still doesn’t work, as a test completely disable any anti-virus, firewall, proxy or VPN, then try send again. Sometimes even restarting your router may resolve this.

Tried this and still having the same connectivity issue. Any other recommendations or further support available?

(For what it’s worth, shutting off firewall and anti-virus wasn’t necessary when I successfully set this up on a different email client)
