Hello, I am wanting to set up eM Client to my University email. When I set up manually, eM Client is asking me for the SMTP. I am unsure what it is? I live in a student house with the internet provided so I dont have any information about what internet provider I have or any of the details. Can anyone help me how to set up my outgoing server?
Hello, not quite sure what you’re referring to, are you seeing any errors or prompts? Please make a screenshot of the issue and submit it to us here on the forum. SMTP is your outgoing protocol for your mail, without SMTP setup, you wouldn’t have an option to send out any emails.
Your server request your authentication details username -> often used as firstname.lastname@example.org - and your account password, please contact your mail service provider in order to get the correct credential format for your domain/host name.
