After years of using Emclient without fault . This past week we can not senf emails we get a message saying that it can not connect. Has anyone had this issue ? Ive been trying everthing possible without result
This past week we can not senf emails we get a message saying that it can not connect.
Go to “Menu / Accounts” and click your account on the left and then click the “SMTP” tab and update what your Server address, Server Port & Security policy is so we can check if there is any obvious error messages.
Also “click the dropdown arrow” on the right of Refresh and click “Show Operations” and click the “Log” tab and look for any obvious sending error messages. Then paste them in this thread and we might then be able to see whats wrong. Blank out anything personal in the sending errors.
What version of eM Client do you have ? & are you running Windows or Mac & what OS ver ?
Have you checked with your SMTP Server technical support if they are aware of any mail client sending mail problems atm ? incase they have some sort of problem or outage their end.

How do i know what are the correct settings in the smpt folder ??
That error can be eg: Incorrect SMTP Settings, or can sometime be an OS issue “depending on what version OS you have”, or can sometimes be an optionally installed Firewall / Security program / optionally installed Antivirus program or VPN interferring with the sending mail,
What version of Windows do you have ?
Also do you have any optionally installed Firewall / Security program, or optionally installed Antivirus program or VPN running “other than what comes default with Windows” ?
Also what is your SMTP Server address, Server Port & Security policy you have been using ? Via “Menu / Accounts”.
Norton is running a VPN security but i have disabled this as well disabled the scan on email sending feature. This norton program has been on this computer for a while without error. Im lost with this now which is frustrating. Im receving emails but cant send

Ok if you have completely disabled your Nortons program then try “resetting your Windows built in firewall to defaults” if you have Windows 10 / 11.
Also check your SMTP settings which I believe these are the BigPond SMTP settings below.
Also make sure you are using Windows 10 or 11 or if you are still using Windows 7 “which is no longer officially supported”, make sure you are using TLS1.2 & not TLS1.3
