I just received a new update for emCLient, and shortly after that, I got a notification saying the app was being blocked due to a *.dll file. Unfortunately, I can’t say which one because I wasn’t at my computer
Smart App Control has blocked part of this app
I’m not going to change my security settings just to try to fix this problem

Smart App Control is part of Windows 11 which “sounds like something has changed in the OS itself” with that as SAC doesn’t normally block eM Client. You might need to eg: try temporarily disabling SAC and re-enabling SAC and see if that fixes it. You can google how to do that where there are different methods to do that.
If you do try disabling and re-enabling or changing SAC settings, “make a backup of the Windows registry first” in case you need to restore for any reason. You can see how to backup your registry if you don’t know via the following Microsoft page.
If disabling and re-enabling SAC control makes no differance, then try uninstalling eM Client and “dont delete the database” when asked on the uninstall wizard. Then reinstall the eM Client either from the release history page or Windows Store “depending on where you originally installed it from” and then see if that fixes it to rule out any possibly installation program.
