I get way too many emails, most of them not urgent so I’m trying to cut down the notifications. I go through and read/delete them in bulk later. What I propose is similar to what one can already do for nearly any SMS app - disable notifications for individual recipients.
I just recently discovered that you can create a “rule” to skip notifications for emails which is excellent, but it takes quite a few clicks. Being able to set a quick flag for senders, for example in the tooltip that appears when hovering an address, would be an excellent way to quickly manage notifications.
