I have an existing gmail email and am trying to set up my new outlook email. I have been through the process several times but the new account always appears as another gmail . . . . Any thoughts please ?

Thats very unusual. Are you using the automatic account wizard as per the below example link ?.

Hi, yes, that’s exactly what I’m doing but setting it up without encription.
I get to the final step which opens firefox and takes me to the microsoft authorisation page.
i’ve tried signing in with my microsoft password and with my pin but the account wizard always just creates another (duplicate) gmail account.
Hope you can spot what I’m doung wrong!

Close eM Client and then set a different browser as default such as Chrome or Vivaldi and then reboot and try adding your MS account again.
Tried that with chrome as default. The Microsoft login page now appears with the outlook email address showing. But nothing works.
I’ve had issues with b100dy Microsoft signins before and my new outlook email is just for recovery etc. so I think I’ll just leave it at that and conserve my blood presure.

Do a screenshot/s of where you get up to and paste it in this thread. We might then be able to see what’s wrong. Blank out your email address.
