There is a new update avail for my eMclient — before I update I want to clarify about what happens to the email on the POP3 server –
Ideally I would like to be able to set eMclient to delete the email on the server after XX number of days – the XX being a number of days that the user can set for themselves —
Can you confirm if this is possible —
and also what will the default be for the latest update
Usually by default eM Client sets that number to around 4 days to leave a copy of messages on the server, which then allows you to still download POP account messages to your other POP account device Inboxes. But obviously you can adjust that days number to whatever you want depending on the size of your online mailbox.
The only issue i saw recently with that was eg: Prior to V10.3.2412 there was a problem if you moved the downloaded POP Inbox messages to Local folders where it then removed it from the server, but that has been updated to allow it to still stay on the server end in V10.3.2412 or later.
Lastly when you set to leave a copy of messages on server, make sure that you check the space left in your mailbox from time to time, as usually POP acct mail boxes don’t have much space depending on if its an eg: Classic ISP small size Mailbox or a Modern larger size mailbox.
