After installing version 10.4 update, I cannot add events to my calendar. The servers says it’s a read only folder but this is not reflected in the folder settings. Please help me to revert this folder back to it’s pre update status.
Same here. Which CalDav server are you using? Please help urgently, eM Client!
I’m using ventraip in Australia
We are using Axigen Mail Server. eM Client Version 10.4.4209.0 was still working. We don’t yet know in which of the subsequent versions the issue was introduced.
It happened after Version 10.4.4867 update. The server location is not appearing in the calendar folder properties and I’m not able to add it. I’m sure there’s a quick fix … if only we could get a response from support!
After testing, we determined that the issue was introduced with version 10.4.4756.0. It affects both the Windows and macOS versions.
10.4.4209.0 ok
10.4.4293.0 ok
10.4.4756.0 broken
10.4.4842.0 broken
10.4.4867.0 broken
Yes, experiencing the same problem here too (Axigen being the caldav server).
Reverting back to 10.4.4209 has (temporarily) resolved the problem.

I would then suggest if anyone in this thread has a current active paid Pro, Personal or Business version to go to the official vip support page and login and submit a ticket to be investigated.
Hi, we’ve been in touch with one of our users, and our developers have looked into this and tested it using our own Axigen test accounts. What they found is that the supported-privilege-set property does not return a correct value, and for CardDAV it isn’t returned at all.
I completely understand that from a user perspective it used to work in previous versions and now it doesn’t. The change is related to backend improvements on our side – part of that work involved updating how we detect read‑only folders, including checking privilege information consistently across all servers, not just a few. I know it can feel counterproductive when a technical improvement results in what looks like a new issue, but to ensure stable and predictable behavior, we do need the server to provide correct privilege information.
To move this forward, we encourage you to share this specific finding with Axigen as well, specifically the missing or incorrect supported-privilege-set response, since they are in the best position to adjust the server behavior on their side.
I’ve taken my portable CalDAV file back to Microsoft Outlook and installed a trusted third party synchroniser. EMClient haven’t gained my business with this backup, they’ve lost it by trying to force me to convert to their specific file format. At least Microsoft have a solution for CalDAV files!
There should be a functional workaround for this issue here:
