Sent emails go to Drafts folder

Emails that I’ve been sending do not appear in the Sent folder afterwards. Rather, they later appear in the Drafts folder. Is this a setting?

The “Save copy of sent messages…” is and has been checked appropriately. Interestingly, I can go into the Drafts folder, open the email that wasn’t sent and then Forward as Original. Only then does it work. Any suggestions more than welcome.

Version of eMC? If not current, suggest upgrading from HERE
IMAP or POP3?
If IMAP try removing account and re-adding account, after running eMC backup (MENU > BACKUP)
