Up until this month I have been able to email my invoices, quotes etc directly out of MYOB accounting program via eM Client. This has now stopped. Has there been an update that would have affected this?

Hey @MickG
I do not use MYOB, however, to confirm, I have just checked with several
programs that I can email directly files that are open with the proviso that
they have first been saved.
What version of eMC do you have?
Do you have Windows or Mac and have either of these been updated?

Thanks Skybat,
using eMC 10.4.4209 (d96494b) on Windows 11 and yes painfully windows always updates so is most likely the culprit.
If no one else in the eMC community has recently had similar issues then chances are it’s not eMC.
I also posed the question to the MYOB Accounting Software but have not received a response from them.
I’d check if your mail settings changed after an update. In my case, the default mail app switched, so MYOB couldn’t pass messages to eM Client until I set it again.
Thanks Levangg.
I’ve been through Windows defaults and just looked through it all again to make sure. Everything I can see that can default to eMClient is defaulted.
There are no settings I can find in MYOB (Accountright) that select a default email. Only the checkbox to use MYOBs web service or not. I finally got a reply from MYOB who said they had fixed the problem. But they haven’t. I did find that I could also send pdf invoice copies through their web service which solves the problem for the clients who want pdfs and not a link but it doesn’t solve other clients whose firewalls see the MYOB web generated email as spam.
Sorry, I should have mentioned the reason for my problem. When I used to send invoices, statements, quotes etc via eM Client (and outlook prior to changing over) they would go as an email with a pdf attachment. Most people receiving them didn’t have a problem with this. When the link between MYOB and eM Client stopped, firstly we thought we were sending ok but our invoices were just disappearing into the ether. This has now forced us to untick the checkbox in MYOB and send through their web service. We had tried this service previously but as mentioned in above post some people don’t like clicking on links and contact us to send a pdf, others it disappears into their spam folder. We end up manually resending a pdf which is a pain in the butt.
I set up this integration a few months back, and the biggest win for me was cutting down the messy back-and-forth between project and finance teams. Using acupowererp.com made the rollout smoother than I expected, and the light training they provide kept everyone on the same page. If you’re trying to keep billing clean and avoid manual fixes, the setup pays off pretty quickly.
