Sending email will not go

Dear people,

3 weeks ago i set up my eM client, with 5 e-mail account with pop3( in local maps) and 1 imap account that is not in local maps.
When i startup a e-mail and select the imap account to send from, make the email and press send.
The e-mail will not go to the imap outgoing map instead it goes to the localmaps outgoing map.
There it stays and will not send.
Tried al lot of things but are not abble to ficks it

What IMAP mail account are you trying to send with ?

Also what is the IMAP acct (SMTP) “Server address, Server Port & Security Policy” for that account ?

Also do you have Windows or Mac and what OS version ?

Lastly are you getting any sending error messages?

windows 11 pro version 25H2

No errors at all, the outgoing mail just sits in de “outbox” in local maps and not where it should be be in the outbox of the imap account

What version of eM Client are you using ?

Also click the dropdown on the right of Refresh and click “Show Operations” and click the “Log tab” and look for any obvious error messages and paste them in this thread and we might be hen be able to see why it’s not sending.

Blank out anything personal in the Log errors.

Authentication is afgebroken

That’s a very unusual error.

Authentication is afgebroken can be caused by a few reasons such as eg: incorrect SMTP settings, or Network timeouts, Thread interruptions, or Credential issues etc.

So as you have the latest eM Client 10.4.4867 your Outlook acct SMTP Security Policy should be now “Use STARTTLS (Always)” with Port 587

If you don’t see that STARTTLS (Always) in your Outlook SMTP security policy, uninstall eM Client and “don’t delete the database” when asked on the uninstall wizard and then redownload and reinstall the latest version from the release history page.

If that still makes no difference then if you have any eg: optionally installed firewall / security programs or optionally installed antivirus programs or vpns, “other than what comes default with your os” then try completely disabling those to test incase of interference as could be a resident backup issue.

Apart from that “if you haven’t tried already” try powering off your wifi modem and computer etc for eg: 2 mins and power back on incase it’s some physical internet temporarily connection IP / DNS issue. Might just need a modem reset.

Lastly if still the same issue, try” moving the Outlook emails stuck in the outbox to your Outlook drafts folder” and then “close eM Client.
Then go online to your Microsoft account and remove / revoke the eM Client OAuth token from your third party apps section.

Then “reopen eM Client” and you will get a prompt to “reallow eM Client access to your Outlook account”. Once reauthorised, then try reopening the Outlook account messages in your drafts folder and try sending the messages again.

tried al the options above, but nothing works.

first of all STARTTLS will not appear, also not after deleting an reinstalling eM client.
other options also dit not work.
still the e-mail is going into the local outbox map instead of the MS outlook account outbox map and stays there and doing nothing.
This is a email from a other company and i will ask if logging password is correct, i have the idea that there is someting wrong with that.
i will keep you updated
