I would like to be able to right-click on a meeting request and have a menu item allow me to send a message to all meeting attendees. Selecting this option would open a new message with the attendees email addresses already filled in. I could then type my message and send it.
You can right-click on the event in your calendar and choose Reply All. That will send a message to all the attendees and the organizer of the event.
