Hi,
I purchased the lifetime license and I’m very happy with the functionality of emClient. I have one big caveat, some HTML/formated mails end up as garbage on the recipient side this mostly happens when I copy text from the perplexity windows app:
it really makes communication difficult, a workaround for some things is to first copy the content to a word processor and then again copy it to mail, but even that leads to issues like above.
feel free to reach out for a free broken message, a fix would highly be apreciates as it brings some shadows on the excellent program for me.
Cheers
Tim
Can you record a video of that happening and also save that email as EML so we can diagnose it? I guess it is caused by Perplexity storing an invalid html code in the clipboard.
Hi Michal,
I can send you an example EML, an upload here is not possible. - to where shall I send it?
it’s basically just using the perplexity desktop client and copying the resolut to an email, do you really need a video for that?
Cheers Tim
Please send the eml to [email protected].
Reading many forums and even Google search on this issue this is a common problem with alot of standard HTML mail clients when pasting directly from Perplexity.
Perplexity outputs text using Markdown code (** , ## , etc.) rather than rich HTML, which email clients often fail to translate properly causing raw symbols to appear. Users fix this by first pasting into eg: Notepad Windows or Textmate Mac or a plain text app and then paste into your HTML mail client.
Or alternatively as per Reddit users advise, ask Perplexity directly in your chat: “Write the response in plain text with no markdown styling or special symbols” before you copy and paste to email client.

Hi thanks for your input,
Text may be a workaround, but it involves manual labour to restore formatting.
As a tech guy I can understand it, but try to explain that to your mother - she won’t understand and always blame emclient.
So sometimes it might be wise to implement a workaround or a fix, to create a good user experience.
@Michal_Burger EML Example is sent with reference to this thread.
Thanks Tim
Hello, thank you for reporting it. We were able to reproduce it. We have that issue already resolved in eM Client 11. I cannot say right now if and when we’ll be able to make this fix working in v. 10 as well as it is a bit complex to resolve it in version 10 (version 11 uses a newer chromium - editor component).

Hi Michal,
that’s actual great news, immediatly I checked for Version 11 to find out, it’s not out yet :).
Do you have a rough ETA for a fix in Version 10 or Version 11?
Regards
Tim
eM Client normally announces new major versions via the Forum Community Announcement page and also via the Official Blog. So keep an eye out on those pages.

Checked the Forum, Announcements without results. OK blog talks about Version 11 :).
Usually I wait till the programm prompts me for an update, I just like to know if we’re talking about weeks, months or years, in order to calm my inner self. . .
No there is no ETA yet, my estimation is that we should come up with eM Client 11 Beta in 2-3 weeks.

@Michal_Burger Thanks a lot for the feedback, being a Product Manager/Owner myself you just showed excellent customer care over a forum.
So I’m waiting for Beta/final version with the expectation that everything is solved :).
Best regards Tim
