Save Emails into Folder on Computer

As a real estate salesperson I have several transactions during year, each of which tend to be populated by email.  I chose eM for my email because it had a feature by which I could migrate those saved emails in eM over and into a folder on my computer for each real estate transaction.  I could then save that folder into an external hard drive for safekeeping and possible future reference.

I closed a deal today, went to eM, highlighted all (100+) email conversations relevant to that deal, and tried to “move” them en masse to a created folder on my computer entitled “Email”.  Only one email saved into the folder, however.  I tried again, this time highlighting only 10, then 5, then finally one and it would not copy into the folder.  I then tried to save on my Desktop, still no luck.  What’s up?  Did I forget something in the process of saving emails to a folder on my computer?

Hi Rockinroller,

If you select multiple e-mails in eM Client and press on your right mouse button, you should see a popup menu.

Select ‘save as …’ from that popup menu, and then you can select the folder on your hard disk in which all selected e-mails will be saved (in .EML format).

Hi, hope Hans’ answer was helpful to you, you can also export the whole folder by using the export feature in File > Export.

However if some of your email were not moved by the application, was any error thrown by the application, what version of eM Client are you currently using on your computer, can you please check the exact version number in Help > About?

What mail service are you using with eM Client, are you using an IMAP account?

Thank you,
Paul

No error showing.  The receiving folder on my (Windows 8) desktop just showed the first email attempted, despite having highlighted several (over 100 at first, then I reduced to 40-50, then finally 2 or 3, thinking it was the volume of attempted emails to be moved that was causing the issue).

I use Gmail.

Hi again, can you please try to update your eM Client to this release and check if the issue persists, http://www.emclient.com/dist/v6.0.21372/setup.msi ?

You should be able to move an unlimited number of messages to a selected folder, however note that performing such action may take some time and during the message move you might be unable to perform any other actions before this action is completed.

Thank you,
Paul
