Safe Senders - Export function

Hello everyone,

I like to save the settings and other things.
But how do you save the Safe Senders list?
Export/Import function?

Or what file is it saved in?
So I can read it back manually.

Regards,

Angel

Simple click on any email address in the Whitelist window and the Save As button will be available at the top. Select the addresses you want to save (or CTRL A in Windows to select them all) and save them in a folder (a contacts list) of your choice.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for your answer.

Doesn’t that save the addresses in the address book?
I need a backup/export function.

How can I then restore the addresses in Safe Senders?

I understand. I’m wondering if a normal backup also backs up the safe and blacklisted senders. I think so but I can’t test it over the weekend.

@Catch-22

Yes, this is backed up when you back up your data.
It just doesn’t make any sense to back up the data for the Safe Senders every time.
This list doesn’t need a few kbytes compressed
and data backup requires one more thing.
That doesn’t make any sense.
And then how can you restore that?
Without overwriting all the email messages and other things.
When exporting to the settings.xml file, only the settings are saved and nothing more.
That’s how it should be.
This has probably been forgotten to be built into eM Client until now.
Or does anyone know more?
In this day and age it is extremely important to make backups.

@jakasspeech6

That doesn’t matter.
It’s important that you answered me.
I really appreciate that and it’s not something that can be taken for granted.

I did some testing and you’re right, exporting to the settings.xml file exports only the settings and not the white/blacklisted email adresses. I suggest you contact support if you have a pro version and/or elevate your post on the forum to a Feature request.

Thanks for the tip.

I changed the thread to feature request.

I have a PRO license.
Only the year is up.
Can you please report this for me?
I find this function important and I’m definitely not the only one.
