Hi!
I moved from Thunderbird to EM Client and have problems reading SMIME encrypted mails.
I have exported all Certs from Thunderbird and imported them into EM Client. But encrypted mails just give me the error message:
How can this be solved?

Have you added your private S/MIME key to eM Client?
Full instructions on setting up and using encryption can be found here: PGP: Encrypt & sign emails in a few clicks | eM Client It is for PGP, but the same principles apply.
I exported the Certificate from Thunderbird but I’m not sure if thunderbird saves the private key in the p12 file.
When I try to export the private or public key from the p12 file with openssl I get the following error:
Error outputting keys and certificates

When you import a key into eM Client, if it is a private key it will ask for a password.
Public keys don’t have passwords, so that is a way to see which is which.
When I save the password with Thunderbird it asks if I would set a password but I can export it without one. That’s why I’m thinking that Thunderbid just exports the public key…
