Your e-mail client is good but I have a problems with the rules:
-
when I receive new messages some of them does not end up in folder specified by the rule.
We have some distribution lists in our system (fake mail address that is delivered to multiple users). I created a rule to put all those mails to a specified folder. Couple of them always end up in the Inbox, and not in the specified folder defined by rule, and I always first read them by the emclient and no other email client.
I read the forum and you mentioned that emclient use read flag from the IMAP server and maybe that’s what is causing the problem? Or not? I would really be grateful to fix this problem, and if IMAP flag is causing this that you disregard it and simply use mechanism that you apply the rules whenever the mail is first read by the emclient from the server. -
I cannot setup rule to remove incoming message that I sent to distribution list I’m part of.
When I send e-mail to that distribution list, a copy always end up in my inbox.
My distribution list e-mail address can be in To, CC or BCC - in all those cases I would want it to move to special folder if I’m the sender.
Could you help me with that? I tried to setup custom rule and put it like that:
After message has been received
from
and with ‘Cc:’ found in header
moveto or delete
and it doesn’t work.
I also tried this one:
After message has been received
from
and send to
moveto or delete
Also doesn’t work.
Please help me setup the rule.
I have one other problem (not a rule based).
When I get new e-mails from server, some of them I delete or put in a junk folder with right click (Delete or Move to junk). Immediately after I do that they reapear in the inbox. It seems that emclient didn’t tell IMAP server what I just did. I have to wait one day or so to be able to get rid of those e-mails. It’s really annoying.
