"I have been enjoying using eM Client for about 5 years now. After upgrading to v10, I explored the settings and discovered functions that I didn’t know existed in v9. I have joined the community to learn how to make the best use of the software.
My request is to have rules applied to the android app, which could be transferred via a QR code like other settings. Additionally, I would appreciate it if ‘send later’ emails could still function through the app even if I don’t turn on my PC."
“Send later” is not server-side function, but client-side.
That means your email client sends that emails later.
You expect that eM Client somehow sends your email to server with information “please, send this email later”. But that is not really possible - all email servers, providers etc. must have that functionality in protocol. I’m not sure protocol itself allows that - it’s only protocol to sending/receiving stuff, not to manage your emails.
It’s the same about “delete mail after x days” in POP3 account - it’s not some magic protocol function that sends information to email server “please, delete this file after x days”. It’s just your email client that sends delete request after given time.
Agreed. It would be nice if there was a way the desktop software could communicate with the phone app, so any emails set to ‘send later’ could be sent to the phone app’s outbox when synced. Then I wouldn’t need to turn my PC on and just fire up the app.
With the rules, it would be great to transfer them over to the app. Another work around would be to transfer the rules server side
