Rules: Account is Offline

Selecting one of my email accounts in the Rules dialog gets this message:

Server rules cannot be obtained nor changed because the selected account is offline.

The error in the Operations dialog expands a bit more:

[Google Settings] Couldn’t get server rules due to the following error: Mail service not enabled

The (active and working) email account is not a gmail account, but is used for Google login - is there some kind of misconfiguration with it?
Thanks.

Periodically, I get the same error. I have a good internet connection. It seems to go away and then recur.

Same issue in my case.

My emclient account is licensed and current, but 3 of 5 times when I try to create or modify a Rule this message appears, and I can’t do anything. Everything else in my email works properly.
“Server rules cannot be obtained nor changed because the selected account is offline.”

This is very frustrating! The client is on Windows 11 computer.

After reading a post regarding Working Offline, I went to Menu > File > Work Offline and turned Work Offline ON. Then I went back in and turned Work Offline OFF. After this the Rules work.

Toggling Work Offline got rid of the error, but now all Rules per account are gone (fun fact: there weren’t any in the first place).
Toggling Work Offline did have the effect of adding a Spam filter rule to all accounts, so far so good.
Selected the Exchange Account in Rules, Spam filter rule is gone, no other rules, check. When selecting the Google account, get a Google OAuth request each time the Google account is selected in Rules.
Was this ever intended by the dev team? The Google Account email address is now a Live account, changed last month and the relevant EMC Account settings were updated. Right now, everything else in EMC seems to be working fine with the account.
Thanks.

I have the same problem (Even though I see a message on this thread that the problem has been solved. I couldn’t see a solution). I can’t get Gmail rules because the account is ‘inactive’, even though it’s online and active throughout the day. I recently contacted EM support who said this would likely be resolved by Version 10, but no such luck.
