RULE - forwarding message with the original header

Hello,

I would like to set the rule for forwarding message to other people but I want to keep original message and header (from:, subject:, etc.). But in the rule I can set only “forward to people” which makes a new e-mail (and just attach the attachment).
Could you please give me a piece of advice? I could not find any similar problem on forum…

Hi Michal, I’m not sure if I completely understand your issue.

You can create a rule which forwards received messages, but if you want to add an attachment to every forwarded message, that’s unfortunately not possible with the current settings.
If you want to keep the forwarded message, it will be automatically saved into your sent folder.

I just need to keep the original header in forwarded message. But the rule creates a new e-mail with blank body…

That’s quite odd, can you make a screenshot of the issue? Are you having this issue with all your emails/forwards or just particular ones?
What version of eM Client are you currently using?

Hi Paul,

this is a screenshot of incoming messages. You can see that the field FROM is filled by telephone number.

But if you check the outgoing messages, you can see that the original header disappeared:

And there is a screenshot of the rule:

I don’t know if I can set the rule to keep the original header.

If I forward the message manualy everything is OK:

Hi, unfortunately this is a standard behavior of the application as using the forward rule, your account is now the sender of the message instead of the number you’ve received the original message from.

Unfortunately there’s no setting for this, but you could add your email account into eM Client and instead of using the “forward to” in your rule you could use “move to folder”.

It’s not possible to add forwarded message as attachment at the moment either, we’re considering this feature for future releases of eM client.

I think that keeping original header would be a good feature for future. Without this possibility eM Client is unusable for me… and that’s a pity.

I’m sorry to hear this, unfortunately bouncing received emails is not supported, we’re considering the feature for future releases.

That would be great if new version contained options in rules how to forward message (1. standard forward; 2. forward as original). :slight_smile:
