I have made a rule to move an incoming mail direct to a folder in the postbox. That works fine but moving the mail also means that the unread badge is not shown. Moving = reading apparantly.
How can I avoid that? I want to see an badge/notification (red dot) when a mail is received, moved to a folder before reading that mail.

Disable “Mark messages read after displaying for x seconds”, so that new Inbox email “is not read automatically” and will still then be unread after the rule moves the email to your specific folder.
Then to manually mark the new message read after your automatic rule moves it, you can either “press the orange round bullet” on the left of the message, or “dblclick the message to open it”.
Go to “Menu / Settings (Preferences) / Mail / Read”
