I’m encountering this with a standard hosted imap email account. In pretty much every other mail client I’ve ever used, I have the ability to set the root folder so that all my subfolders do NOT appear within the Inbox (or in the case of gmail, the GMAIL folder).
Does em Client simply not support this functionality?
There (is options) to hide the parent folders which are setup directly under your accounts like in this Gmail acct example below, but (no option i’m aware off currently) to specifically hide only sub folders under a parent folder. That i suspect would be a feature request.
Posting again - never really found an answer… In Outlook, I can set the root folder for imap folders (i.e., Gmail). Is there a way in eM Client to do this?
normally your account is the root and inbox, sent are subdirectories of that root.
if you want to set the root to inbox there is no possibility in emclient to my knowledge.
if you have subdirectories like in the picture ding and dong you’d have to move them to the root directory if they shouldn’t be shown in the “inbox” directory.
i don’t know if outlook is employing non-standard behaviour and wanting to enforce it.
