please help … no idea why this is an issue!!!
Presuming you are running the latest Windows 10/11 or one of the last 3 Mac OS versions and the OS is all up to date, could be eM Client isn’t reaching the licensing Server, or the Cryptographic services and CNG Key Isolation are not running if you have Windows.
“eM Client needs to periodically contact the license server to validate your license.

https://licensemanager.emclient.com
http://emclient.com
If they don’t all open and you have any optionally installed Firewall / Security program or VPN, you need to configure them “to allow eM Client access”. Also if you have Windows 10/11, try “resetting the built-in firewall to defaults” and make sure eM Client has access through it.
“If you can reach those web pages ok, but the license server still cannot be reached, then it may be that some apps turned off specific services that are required”.
So if you have Windows “Click on the Windows Start button / Run or Search field on the right of Start and type Services" and Open the Services option from the results”. or press “Windows Key + R”, and type services.msc
Then “Check that both Cryptographic services and CNG Key Isolation are running. If they aren’t, start them”.
