Retrieve deleted email

My emails have been deleted by unauthorized access, from Trash/Deleted folder. Is there a way to retrieve them? They are really important to me. I haven’t done any backup before.

Hello Tim, not completely sure what you’re referring to as “unauthorised access”, but if you don’t have an existing backup of your data and the messages are not available on your mail server, when logging in through your webmail, it is unfortunately not possible to restore these messages using eM Client.

If you’re using a private mail server hosted on your own domain, you might be able to restore these emails using a server backup of your mail service vendor - check with their support if this option is available for you.


By unauthorized access I mean my email was accessed by someone else and emails got deleted. It may involve litigation matter and I was hoping emClient has a server backup. I read that Yahoo or Gmail might have a way to restore those deleted emails, though not always guaranteed successful. Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately my work email is not based in private mail server. That is really a sad news. I wish I can have more faith in the service.

Hello Tim, eM client is an offline email client, thus none of your data except your license details are saved with us. As I’ve previously mentioned in order to get server backup you need to contact the service provider which in this case should be for example Gmail or Yahoo.

But as far as I know these major service providers are not willing to restore your data using a server backup unless you’re a paying customer and are using one of their private solutions.
