Restore problems

Hi, opened client this am, all mail gone and also as a new install, tried restoring back-up and got this message: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file ‘C:\Users\Deputy Clerk Laptop\eMClient Backup Files\backup_201807230912.zip’. File name: ‘C:\Users\Deputy Clerk Laptop\eMClient Backup Files\backup_201807230912.zip’ at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileInfo.get_Length() at DbBackup.FormBackup.Restore(String backupFile, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at DbBackup.FormBackup.Restore(CancellationToken cancellationToken) at DbBackup.FormBackup.b__27_0(Object a, DoWorkEventArgs b) at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.OnDoWork(DoWorkEventArgs e) at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.WorkerThreadStart(Object argument). Have two backup files both give same response? Help…

Is there another way to do a restore?

Are you logged in to Windows as a different user, or is it possible that your database directory was moved or deleted?

The backup file is just a zipped copy of the C:\Users_[username]_\AppData\Roaming\eM Client\ folder. If you changed the database location then it will be somewhere else. To restore manually, close eM Client and then extract the zipped file to that folder, replacing all files when prompted.
