Restore on Apple Mac Studio M4 Max doesn't work

I switched from my old Apple MacBook Pro (2017) to a new Mac Studio M4 Max.
On my old MacBook I used File → Backup and transferred the .zip archive to the new Mac Studio.

After installing eM Client 10 on my new Mac, I use the File → Restore from menue.
Getting the info and confirmation screen, and when clicking on “yes”, eM Client just closes instead of asking from where to restore.

The new Mac’s using macOS Tahoe 26.0.1

Any hints? Or is it a bug?

best regards …

Hi, this is a known bug with Tahoe, and we have a fix ready for the next release.

Thanks for replying so quickly.
Is there a roadmap or a release plan, where I can see when the next release will be “unleashed”

with best regards …

We can’t give you an exact date, unfortunately. We’re planning to include a bunch of new features as well as a lot of fixes, so the next release is still undergoing internal testing and troubleshooting :folded_hands:

If getting this fix is a high priority for you, and you’d like to get an internal version to use at your own risk, please email [email protected] or open a ticket if you have VIP Support, and we can share it with you.

Ok, I understand that.

Well, let’s go to work and set it up again manually

I was also able to get my imap accounts back including keys. But that’s not satisfactory. I need the offline archive from the.zip file. I have to manage 11 imap accounts including offline archives. Creating a new archive is not an option. I’m still missing the almost 2,500 emails from the existing archive.

is it possible to publish an interim update with this fix? There are users (like me) who need access to the existing offline archive after a new client installation after replacing the device. And this only works via the currently defective restore function

You can email [email protected] or open a ticket, and we’ll share the install file with you if you’re okay with untested software

Ok. I sent an email

Too, great, great :). Thanks, with the new version I was able to get the local archive again. Now I can sleep peacefully again:)

The upcoming build V10.3.4341 for Mac “which you can now test via the following forum link”, has the Restore function back in it and working on Mac OS 26.
