I have bought the pro license recently. On my main Mac I have an installation of eM and it works fine. Now I would like to have an instance on my MacBook.
I installed eM Client fresh and tried to restore the backup of the other installation. However, I am not able to select the backup file. When I am seceding File, Restore eM Client closes and a file dialog window opens. But all files are greyed out and I cannot select anything.
Any tipps?

Suggest to put the dated backup.zip files to restore on your second MacBook in the default “Documents / eM Client” folder if you don’t have them in there already which restores ok in this folder for me using the latest V9 or V10 from the release history page.
During restore you are selecting the folder from which the backup should be taken, you don’t select the file directly.
Try to confirm the folder where your backup is stored and eM Client will then detect the valid ZIP files in this folder (And if there is more than one, you will get to choose).
