have recently noticed that on the mobile app if you try to reply to a message ion a conversation thread, you can only reply to the most recent.
So when you reply in conversation view to a specific message in the conversation, “are you pressing the 3 horizontal dots at the top right of the specific message” and then pressing reply ?
Or are you replying differently?
I personally do see the reply in any specific older message when I press the 3 dots in the conversation thread.. Are yours eg: ghosted ?

Ues I do see the ellipses, but the issue is that if I open a particular message in the thread, lest say message 3, and I hit reply from the ellipse drop down, the reply referenc es the 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc messages in the thread. It doesnt isolate 3rd message and the ones preceding that. Itm appends to message 1
If I have eg: 3 messages in a conversation, and reply to message 2 in the conversation, I get the entire conversation starting from message 3 at the top of the reply, and it doesn’t just start with message 2 at the top of the reply.
Are you saying previously if you replied to eg: message 2 in the conversation, you didn’t see messsge 3 at the top of the conversation ?
I’m not sure if it was or wasn’t before as I only noticed this recently
Using the same functionality on the desktop allows you to reply to a specific message in the thread without the more recent messages being included in that reply. So bearing that in mind I figured it not unreasonable to expect the same action on mobile
Yes you are correct, using eM Client V10.4.4562 on Mac desktop, if i reply to message 2 in the conversation (out of a 3 message conversation), i only see message 2 reply at the top down to message 1 and don’t see message 3 which is correct, and should also be exactly the same on the mobile app, so appears to be a bug with the mobile iOS app.
Im currently also testing iOS Mobile Beta V10.4.4606 on iPhone OS 26.2.1 So i’ll send that off to [email protected] and i’ll link this thread.

Confirming I am having this exact same issue - in iOS app there appears to be no way to reply to a particular message in a conversation, only the latest one.

Wondering if this iOS mobile app issue will be fixed in the next version of the app ? as I tried the latest V10.4.5267 with OS26.4 and still has the same problem.
Hey, sorry for the delay. In our tests it actually behaved as expected, i.e. replying to a selected message in a longer conversation only quotes/references messages up until that point. If you’re still experiencing behavior that seems incorrect, could you please share a screen recording and details of your conversations setup so that we can make sure we’re not overlooking anything?
Where do you want the example video sent to ? Ill do a video on mobile & desktop.
This happens on two different iPhones and two different iPads with IMAP accounts with the Conversation setup in all views using OS26.4.1 and V10.4.5267. Doesn’t happen on Desktop.
@Kim_Fisher I haven’t heard back about where to send the iOS app and Desktop video examples, so i sent them to your email address with the .mov videos attached via dropbox.
