(Disclaimer: I searched the forum before posting this but couldn’t find an answer to my specific problem. If I missed it - sorry, please direct me there!)
I have set up one email account in eM, and one alias (which is a team address used by multiple people). I frequently send emails from my standard account and cc the alias to keep my team in the loop. Whenever I receive a reply to such an email that prompts me to reply again, eM automatically puts the alias as the sender and removes it from the recipient field.
The same happens when someone sends an email to both my personal, standard address and to the alias, I reply to that email: eM will put the alias as the sender, and my standard address into the receiver field, along with the address of the person I’m replying to.
This is frustrating mostly because the email will no longer be sent to the alias, so that my team will no longer be in the email chain (because our team email is just set up as an alias, not a separate account with its own inbox, they do not see emails sent from the alias).
I try to always notice this and change it, but of cause that’s a hassle and of course I do forget sometimes when in a hurry…
Is there any way to tell eM not use the alias as a sender unless I explicitly select it as such?
Since I have only one account, I could not find a way to make this the default - it probably is the default automatically…
