Repeated failed update & freezing issues

sábado 19 octubre 2024 :: 1040hrs (UTC +0100)

We have three almost identical Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 2:
13th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-13850HX vPro® Processor
(E-cores up to 3.80 GHz P-cores up to 5.30 GHz)
OS: Win 11 Pro 64 23H2
The differences are:
One Spanish with 32 GB DDR5-5600MHz (SODIMM, ECC) - (2 x 16 GB)
One English OS with 32 GB DDR5-5600MHz (SODIMM, ECC) - (2 x 16 GB)
These have completely standard installation of eMC v10.0.3530.0
Only Microsoft Defender Antivirus & Firewall & Office Pro Plus 2021
EPIM Pro Business v12.0.6
No other software and are used exclusively by interns on particular projects

For some unknown reason the Laptop with Spanish OS, loads Spanish eMC v10.0.3530.0 and then eMC freezes, it will not connect, other than this the Laptop & other software works correctly.

The third Laptop is identical with Spanish OS (eMC in Spanish works correctly now; but see below)
Except for:
64 GB DDR5-5600MHz (SODIMM, ECC) - (4 x 16 GB)
RAID 1 (2 SSD) 1 TB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4
Surfshark VPN v5,10.1
Malwarebytes Premium v5.10.1
eMC v9.2.2307.0 - updated from v9.2.2280.0

(Ths update caused a total “cock-up” plus defaulted to Dark Theme this issue was eventually resolved with a total delete and new re-install with the help of a backup made immediately before the failed update, followed by two further updates the second of which worked but still defaulted to Dark Theme.
The updates were carried out, as always, with eMC shutdown and no other software loaded.)

This is the first time we have ever had any issues and is as if reliability has suddenly “fallen off a cliff” and strange that both issues were with a Spanish OS.

Any suggestions to fix (Spanish eMC v10.0.3530.0) will be useful, several re-installs have been tried of eMC, plus an OS clean install. In all other respects the setup matches the English Laptop. Otherwise we will need to consider the installation as being “not fit for purpose”.

¡Buena suerte!
